Our Story
Soko Cleaning Maids Ltd started with founder Pauline's genuine passion for thorough cleaning and
cleanliness — not just as a service to sell, but as something she truly believed made people's lives
better. A space that's properly clean changes how it feels to live or work in it, and that belief is
what turned a small domestic cleaning operation into a trusted, full-service company.
What started as a small team offering domestic cleaning has grown into a service covering everything
from routine home cleans to specialist biohazard and compliance-certified cleaning work — but the
motivation behind it has never changed. Cleaning is about more than appearances. It's about care.
Along the way, our focus has never changed: treat every property like it's our own, train our team
properly, and never cut corners on safety or quality. Whether it's a weekly office clean or a sensitive,
highly regulated job, we bring the same level of care and professionalism to every property we walk into.
As demand grew for more specialised work, so did our training. Rather than treating certifications as a
box-ticking exercise, we built our reputation around them — COSHH awareness, C1IC biohazard compliance, and
safe sharps handling aren't add-ons for us, they're the standard every job is measured against. That's what
allows us to take on the jobs other cleaning companies turn away, from after-event deep cleans to trauma
and hazardous waste situations that need to be handled with real discretion and skill.
We're proud to serve homes and businesses across North Lanarkshire and the surrounding areas, and we've
grown almost entirely through word of mouth — clients who trusted us once and called us back, or
recommended us to someone else who needed the same peace of mind. That kind of trust isn't something we
take for granted, and it's still what drives every decision we make, from how we train our team to how we
